ESRC Officer Meeting

May 7, 2008

Officers present

Jennifer Timmons - President
Tom Miller -  Vice President
Steve Nieberding - Secretary

Discussion/Decisions
Under social events....it is listed as evening run/picnic...but described as a breakfast
We will try a breakfast run first, then decide if we want to try an evening run later in the year

Clarify membership incentives in order to provide ESRC additional value for their memberships.

We are not pursuing discounts at all those local retailers but focusing on providing the following ESRC membership benefits:

1. discount membership at a local gym (especially with Merritt closing and World Gym opening)
2. members will receive hats or other "club specific" items
3. members will receive paid entry into a large local race that we do not provide (ie Tim Kennard,)

Donation/Volunteer ideas...indicate that we have decided not to pursue Adopt-A-Highway trash pickup because available road sites are not local and not in areas we run.  We will research into doing Habit for Humanity project.

Questions/Actions

When addressing that helpers need to be club members...should we include that a signed application which includes the Waiver, Release and Indemnity Agreement is required?

Add MapMyRun maps onto the website to show running routes.
it was not discussed at the meeting

Jen will check with Ken to obtain the treasurers report. How much $ is in the bank, what checks have been written this year etc.

Continue working on having air time on PAC 14 to promote benefits of running, safety, etc...

Work on developing a ESRC brochure.

Look into participating in both the Christmas Parade in Salisbury and Health Expo at Wicomico Youth and Civic Center
